Celebrating Our Loyal Customers and Memorable Artisan Markets in 2025

The year 2025 has been a remarkable journey for Andrew King Chocolates. Despite facing challenges like intense heat waves and fluctuating cocoa prices, our passion for crafting fine chocolates and connecting with our community never wavered. We owe a huge thank you to our loyal customers whose support has kept us going through every twist and turn. This year, we were fortunate to participate in some wonderful markets and events that brought us closer to chocolate lovers across the region.

A Year Full of Exciting Artisan Markets

Andrew King Chocolates had the privilege of being invited to a diverse range of artisan markets throughout 2025. Each event offered a unique atmosphere and a chance to share our chocolates with new and familiar faces.

  • Hay-on-Wye: Known for its literary charm, the Hay-on-Wye artisan market was a perfect setting to introduce our bespoke luxury chocolates to visitors who appreciate craftsmanship and quality.

  • Great Malvern: This historic town welcomed us warmly, and the artisan market buzzed with locals eager to discover new treats.

  • Local to Ludlow: Attending these monthly artisan markets here allowed us to build strong connections with the community and receive direct feedback on our latest creations.

These artisan markets were not just sales opportunities but moments to engage with customers, hear their stories, and celebrate shared love for fine artisan chocolate.

Summer Agricultural Shows and Garden Fayres

Summer brought a different kind of excitement with agricultural shows and garden fayres. These events attracted families and food enthusiasts looking for local, authentic products.

  • Agricultural Shows in Tenbury & Longtown: We showcased our artisan chocolates alongside fresh produce and artisan foods, highlighting the importance of supporting local businesses.

  • Hergest Croft Gardens Spring & Autumn Fayres: The beautiful garden settings added a special touch to our artisan stalls. Visitors enjoyed sampling our artisan chocolates while strolling through blooming flowers or autumn leaves.

These occasions reminded us how food connects people to nature and tradition, making our Andrew King Chocolates part of memorable experiences.

Food Festivals in Ludlow and Abergavenny

Food festivals are always a highlight for any artisan producer. In September 2025, Ludlow and Abergavenny hosted vibrant festivals that celebrated local flavours and culinary creativity.

  • Ludlow Food Festival: Known for its rich food heritage, Ludlow welcomed us with enthusiastic crowds eager to taste new artisan chocolate blends to include our new Alcoholic Free range and our classic Signature favourites.

  • Abergavenny Food Festival: This festival brought together producers from across the region, creating a lively atmosphere where we could share our story and chocolate artisan products with food lovers, despite the heavy rainfall!

Participating in these food festivals helped us reach a wider audience and reinforced the value of community support in sustaining small businesses.

Overcoming Challenges Together

The year was not without its difficulties. The heat waves tested our ability to maintain out chocolate quality during transport and display. Cocoa price fluctuations affected costs, but we remained committed to using the finest ingredients without compromise.

Our customers’ loyalty made a real difference. Many shared kind words, recommended us to friends, and returned regularly to our artisan markets. This support encouraged us to innovate and adapt, ensuring that every luxury box of our Andrew King Chocolates met high standards.

Highlight of the Year

A highlight of our year was receiving the best Food & Drink award for Herefordshire. This fabulous evening was held in October 2005 in Symonds Yat, marking a special time for celebrating Andrew King Chocolates.
