Having just started in March 2021, we were aware how important our choices were when it came to thinking about our packaging for our Signature Nine and the importance of using the best of local provenance.

Moccas is nestled near the River Wye in the Wye Valley, a beautiful part of Herefordshire, which Andy wanted to celebrate when creating his small works of art in chocolate.  Andy has a passion for working alongside local food & drink suppliers including

~ Herefordshire Honey from our own standard tree orchards

~ Garden Mint grown in our garden

~ Gin from Hay Distillery

 Our chocolates have a four week shelf to ensure they are eaten at their very best. No odd preservatives or additives are included within our chocolates.

By using Valrhona Equitorial 55% dark chocolate we have chosen a responsible chocolate that is traceable and sourced directly from 17,215 producers who are supported in adopting good social and environmental practises.  Their strength lies in the ties Valrhona has forged with their cocoa producers to improve their livelihoods.

As Andrew King Chocolates grows and develops our aim within five years would be to support these cocoa producers ourselves and to help with the replanting of seedling cocoa trees.

All our Signature Nine and Eighteen boxes are recyclable along with our Miniature Four boxes. At markets we use paper bags to pop the boxes in, we also ask if these are required and the majority of our customers have their own life bags, they pop our chocolate boxes in.
